Before the Congregation for Sunday worship were used to gather in the rented schools and halls and many times in open grounds due to lack of Church Building. The people gathered are very poor in financial status and most of their occupations are farming, fishermen, working in building construction, road sweepers, and low caste people who are oppressed by the high society people and with other poor conditions. Many of them came with diseases, financial problems and other bad habits which made them struggle in their daily lives. They are redeemed in the Church by God’s Power and came to know God through our Ministry. They don’t just pretend to be Christians but believe God truly and have a strong Faith in Him. Due to this kind of congregation with a poor financial background there was not been able to even start a Trust for about 13years.

REHOBOTH CHARITABLE TRUST has led all these people by preaching the Gospel and providing their spiritual needs through the Founder.

One day the God spoke to the Founder S.Vasanth and said through the Bible verse of   Genesis: 26:12-22

“Isaac planted crops in the land and the same year reaped a hundred fold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy. He had so many folks and herds and servants that the philistines envied him. So all the wells that his father’s servants had dug in the time of his father Abraham, the Philistines stopped up, filling them with earth. Then Abimelech said to Isaac, “Move away from us; you have become too powerful for us” So Isaac moved away from there and encamped in the valley of Gerar and settled there. Isaac reopened the wells that had been dug in the time of his father Abraham, which the Philistines had stopped up after Abraham died, and he gave them the same names his father had given them. Isaac’s servants dug in the valley and discovered a well of fresh water there. But the herdsmen of Gerar quarreled with Isaac's herdsmen and said, “the water is ours!" So he named the well Esek, because they disputed with him. Then they dug another well, but they quarreled over that one also; so he named it Sitnah. He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it REHOBOTH, saying, “Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.””

As God blessed Isaac and flourished him, so He said that He will bless and flourish this Trust and told it to name it as REHOBOTH.

So this Trust came up with the name of REHOBOTH on 17-03-2009.

From the beginning of the Trust, it faced many problems such as Financial problems to administrate the legal works of the trust, opposition for preaching in public places throughout Karnataka state. So it was not able to do Sunday worship in public places anymore. Even through these difficulties, God is leading us by His strength and power.

The Great news is that God has provided us a building that would be helpful for the purpose of the Church activities to be rented. It has been agreemented for 2years. There was no financial help from any part or sources. We prayed and collected offerings from the believers in the Church and saved for the purpose of the building and rented it on 24-03-2010.

When we rented the building, it was filled with mud and it was a place to feed cattle. The owner did not even made it clean for the Church purpose. Then we ourselves got into work and worked for hard for 5 days in cleaning the building. There are some photos of the work we are doing for preparing the building for Church purpose.  Glory be to God, through all these difficulties God has helped us to enter our rented Church with a small inauguration. God helped us greatly so far. Around 160 people gathered for the Sunday worship and there was two other worships held in villages on the same day. So the congregation is about 300-400 people.

In which we have 150 baptized believers.
